little kitten basket. want the pattern?

stitch up this little kitten basket as follows ♥

materials:
2 skeins debbie bliss donegal tweed aran
i held it doubled and used size 15 circular needles.

cast on 27 stitches and join in the round.
next round: *K1, INC1* all the way around.
knit for 4 inches.
then *K1, K2tog* continuously for
the next several rounds until 7 stitches remain,
thread yarn through remaining stitches.
break yarn.

handle:
with yarn held doubled cast on 12 stitches
knit 2 rows and then bind off.
stitch to basket cattywompus
(which means twisted)
and then FELT IT and add a tiny kitten!
ps.
this kitten will have to be 4 inches
long because this basket is TINY!

parseltongue hat

i finally finished the snake sweater pattern and
am uploading it to *ravelry* in a few minutes!
im so excited to have this done...

i had to figure out how to knit
the snake cables all over again.
so what better way to practice
than on a parseltongue hat to match!
maybe people who dont want to do
the whole sweater will be happy
with a hat? so ive written it up
and am putting it up too ♥

the magic toolbox

ive slowly replaced all of my metal needles
with wooden ones... seems like the metal
makes my hands feel funny.. even though
i really used to love the feel of addis..
ive heard fairies dont like metal.
surely they would
like wood
because
thats
where
they
live.

i finally sewed this up! little waif & stray dress.
i really need a dressmakers dolly...
(i call it a dolly cause its nicer than dummy)
hopefully one will come my way soon..

in the states i found an antique
one at a garage sale for 5 dollars!
its too big to fly here though...
makes me say mother f.
especially when im pinning the
clothes to myself and i stab me.

swan lake stockings

ooooh! petal and i went to london fashion week
and got so inspired by all the tights and boots..
the inspiration for these is from a mix between
the victim girls and the boots at rodarte.

these tie at the top so they wont fall down
and are perfect for dancing swan lake (or disco)

they feel like all of the honey magic in the world
all at once.. and we know. life out there is tough
so its better if you stay in and read bunny bunny
and virginia woolf until simon comes home.
and make sure you light some candles
so the owls will know where you are.

snowflakes & powder puffs

petal and i went to whitby as i have already said
and she brought along *lisas* pretty black shawl
i was so captivated by it... i used it as inspiration
to create one myself.. i wore it day in day out
in the snow in wisconsin this week...

now its time for a snowflake version
it is made out of sublime kid mohair
and is crocheting up like bunny hops.
im alllllllmost done.

i am upset because i dont want to admit
that there is a slight chance that i may be addicted as well..

i made some out of koigu
one thing i miss about working in my LYS is the funny way customers would say koigu
everytime i heard keegow and kooga it made my day.
